This lovely Vintage 1920s Art Deco Teak box is a well-made collectable that sells for around $1000 on premium vintage marketplaces. I found this at my local Goodwill for only $1.29, and because they did not know what they had, I will be donating 50% of the proceeds from this sale to that Goodwill.
This piece is from the 1920s and could likely be antique.
Condition:
Slight chipping on the inside of the lid – see pics. There was slight scuffing on the edges, I used natural wood oil on it, and it looks great now. Teak’s natural colour is usually darker than the stain on the item, so you’ll see darker lines in areas where it shows its real self and where I oiled it. The inside was also oiled with natural wood oil.
VINTAGE:
This is a vintage piece. An item is considered vintage when it’s 40 years or older. An antique item is usually 100 years or older. Due to their age, vintage items will have some wear and tear, but that only adds to their character and, in some cases, to their value. This item is pre-loved, and is looking for a new home.
